The downloaded file of your theme from Better Discord will be in CSS format. So, just copy the theme file and paste it into the Discord theme section.

Install BetterDiscord
After downloading the BetterDicord on your computer, now you have to install better discord. So, you can move on to the further process to use a theme for your Discord background.

Note: Steps to install BetterDiscord vary from version to version. The following steps are for the latest version of BetterDiscord.
- Locate the BetterDiscord downloaded file on your PC.

- Next, double-click on the BetterDiscord exe. file.

Download Theme from BetterDiscord Library
In order to use the various themes on your Discord desktop app from Better Discord, first, you have to download the theme manually from BetterDiscordLibrary.
You can’t download the theme from the BetterDiscord app which you’ve just downloaded. It was just to integrate BetterDiscord to Discord.
Other than this, one thing you always should remember is that you can’t just directly download the wallpaper or theme from the BetterDiscord Library website without downloading BetterDiscord app on your laptop. So, don’t try to do this!

This way, you’ve successfully downloaded your selected theme for Discord. In case, the theme file isn’t downloading then simply refresh the Better Discord Library page or restart the website.
Open Discord and Paste the Theme File on Discord theme
You’ve successfully downloaded the theme for your Discord client. So, now it’s time to integrate or apply the theme on your Discord as a background.
Quick Look: Your Discord desktop app is already connected with the BetterDiscord client after the installation which you have completed in the above second step so you don’t have to connect them again.
- Open your Discord app.
- Go to the Users settings from the bottom left side.
- Under Bandaged BD section, click on the Themes option.
- Now, click on the Open Theme Folder button from the top side next to Themes. It will open the theme folder where you can put the downloaded theme CSS file.
- So, copy your downloaded theme (CSS file) and paste it to the theme folder.
Now the BetterDiscord client will automatically detect the theme CSS file.
If you can’t see the themes or Bandaged BD section on Discord then maybe your Discord isn’t properly integrated with BetterDiscord. So, re-install the Better Discord from the beginning.
Enable the Theme
Now we are at the last part of changing the Discord background theme. Here, you’ve to enable the theme so that it will be applied on the Discord background.
You can add multiple themes on Discord following the above steps. Just download the theme which you like and paste it to the BetterDiscord client. Then enable one by one manually at a single time.
- Locate the theme which you’ve just placed on Discord.
- You will see the name of the theme popping on inside the Theme section.
- So, simply toggle on the theme and it will be automatically applied.
